Dalton do you still pull thru with your left arm or both.
Dalton to use mainly your left arm coming through the ball or both hands? U use to say u can't push a chain u said pull the chain has that changed. Ty
I'm not Dalton but I believe that he still says this.
Mine was a direct fit replacement I went from a honda gc190 to a preadator 212.
Not sure if you monitor anymore but I can’t tell you how confusing those videos and images of club parallel to ground caused me! I couldn’t understand the center of chest because those images weren’t in center of chest!!!
Aww yeah, I know that feeling
I hpoe he is ok ,really miss his instruction.
Always use the lifting eye and wrap two ratchet straps around the base and over the ram and another one around the base and over the hook. You always have the mass beneath the hook.
Yes! Pro tip of the day
Lmao. Reminds me of that time I turned my dishwasher into a lawnmower. She was so pissed
THATS A GOOD WAY TO BURN OUT A STARTER OR IGNITION SYSTEM! NEVER CONTINUOUSLY CRANK A STARTER! YOU CHECK FOR FUEL FIRST BECAUSE IT'S THE EASIEST TO CHECK WITH SPRAYING CARB CLEANER IN THE CARBS AND YOU SHOULD OPEN THE THROTTLE ALL THE WAY WHEN SPRAYING AND CRANKING! OK IF IT DOESN'T FIRE WHILE DOING IT THE WAY I ADVISED TO DO IT, THEN CHECK FOR SPARK? 95% OF THE TIME ITS ONE OR THE OTHER THATS THE ISSUE!!!
Best still EVER!!
Chrysler cars back then had such unique sounding starters. I worked with a girl once who had a 1972 Dodge Charger. She said when her car was cranking it sounded like it was "playing a tune."
I had the exact same situation as you did. However, I didn't cut the shaft, I made a 9"x9" frame out of 2x4 wood. I bolted the 2x4 to the log splitter frame and then screwed down the engine. It worked.
this is a swing i can do and i find starting the release earlier like he says does help and the body seems to pick up on the action without forcing it.
Was that front sprocket nut reverse thread to tighten on?
No standard thread.
Great and simple lesson thank you
I had the same problem with the shaft. I just took an angle grinder and cut it to match the old one. It worked like a champ, no problems so far. Enjoyed your video
Glad you enjoyed the video. The only issue I have is it hates the cold weather. The engine is reluctant to start under 30° I pull the recoil starter and use a drill to get it to start.
Set you first tone break to 19 then try the foil
Fuel delivery problem, bad gas
It hated me.
That motorhome is quadruple dog cursed to not want to start at all
😂
F&&K, as a Bridgeport owner I felt that. That really sucks man, hope you get her back together and running tops.
Dalton do you think you'll ever put your first VCR tapes on RUclips??
Hey muddy got an update on how these pans are holding up? Thanks!
They aren't bad. I'm having to season them regularly, but I assume that is normal. I use crisco shortening to season. They should last me the rest of my life.
@@muddyudders Yeah. Even on my "fancy" vintage one I gotta upkeep them but it's all part of the experience and worth it imo. The seasoning still flaking off? Sometimes I hear that with one's that were sanded down the seasoning doesn't stick well and im curious if I should do that myself with a rough pan. Thoughts?
@briang4914 I do get some flaking occasionally. I also get lazy and leave them overnight before cleaning, so attribute the flaking to that. My current routine is to cook and put water in to cover any remnants of food, place back on stove on low heat. When I'm done eating, the pan is ready to clean. I don't baby the pans or the seasoning. I will use soap and a soft scrubber pad. It's easy enough to reseason, and the pan itself just can't be ruined.
@@muddyudders yeah I used to baby mine but then I realized that it survived 100 years under harsher conditions so soap, metal utensils, and some scraping doesn't harm it at all. These things are old-school tools meant to be used. Thanks for the replies!
Now come on the best use for the teflon pan aint the burn pile! Do what I did use it in the shooting range. 😂
😂 😅 🤣
😂😂😂😂😂
Good to see I'm not the only one.
Nope, we're just the only ones who admit it.
Did the keyway run the length of the shaft of the new motor
Man this doesn't get old 😂
I am rigging the 2 bridgeports I just bought home next month and I am so afraid of this happening
those Bridgeports are a bit nose heavy, even when lifted by the lifting eye. Be safe brother..........
That was quick
Thanks alot I watched this at least 15 times HONK HONK .. your awesome this video helped me find my way back onto the path of horsepower.
How much does the engine cost? My dog ate my Champion engine. Yeah. It was covered by my wood pile. A rabbit must have run underneath. Steve, my German Wire-haired Pointer proceeded to claw off wires, the plug wire, and chewed up the air filter housing. Yeap, trashed.
Currently in my area 10/31/23 $150
😂😂😂😂❤good stuff😊
That look tho. She said fuck u
Not too shabby. Phosphoric acid (kleen strip metal etch and prep) works excellent. What was your mix ratio here?
check muratic acid
the only problem with dalton's method is it's more natural , easy to do and the ball goes higher and further. other than that it's ok.
I'm probably gonna be driving one of these old guys to work this winter... LOOKS PROMISING! 🤣🤣🤣
It was a great vehicle it just hated men. It would start right up for my wife every time. She drove it home from San Diego to Redding California. Not an issue except for clipper hot foot.
thanks
I just picked up a 66 monaco with the 383 2 barrel. What are you running for exhaust? Mines a single out, i was thinking a flow master 40 or super 10 for the mean time till i can afford true duals
The same as you currently. Single exhaust stock setup. I'm not sure what the muffler is, but it's just a generic muffler.
@muddyudders it sounds good bro. One owner car, 33k original miles. Thing looks amazing. Only paid 5900$ Taking care of maintenance things before she goes into storage for the winter
@jacak47410 thanks. I checked out your channel. Looks like we are into the same things. Guns cars and guitars
@muddyudders hell yeah. You got an instagram by any chance? Thats my only social media i use.
@jacak47410 Gas Point Knives but I am never on there.

Extend the ram far enough to put a large 4x6 (wider than the column) underneath the ram dovetails between the column and the spindle. You will be picking up the mill at this point. THEN... put another block of wood across the table. Extend the Y axis towards the front of the machine. Position the forks underneath the block spanning the ram dovetails and raise the forks until they are holding the block, but not yet lifting the mill. Then raise the table underneath the forks, trapping the block of wood above the table against the underside of the forks. Tilt the machine towards the fork lift (or tractor), then lift. The wood will trap it firmly against the forks, you can lift and move it without fear of the mill falling over. Lifting from the base of the machine is asking for trouble. Either lift with a sling, or as I just described.
It was my dumb ass fault. I raised the forks before it was clear of the pallet. The biggest issue is with the tractor. The forks are so far forward that above chest height the tractor gets really unstable. Thank you for the advice. I will be using an actual fork lift when I move it again.
How did you made it please?
good
💯%😂
Dead man talking😂🤣🙏👴🏻
